We research the role of religious organisations and actors who advocated for human rights during the period traditionally labelled as the Cold War 1947–1991 and explore the wider meaning of the Helsinki Agreement of 1975 and the subsequent evolution of the Conference / Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE / OSCE)
